New three-story, 300,000-square-foot, correctional facility for the Escambia County Corrections Department. The approximately $130-million, two-phase, design-build project is being built on a 19-acre property adjacent to the existing 1980s-era jail near downtown Pensacola, FL. The design is intended to fit in with nearby commercial office and retail businesses. 

 

Bay Design teamed with DLR Group as Escambia County's representatives in the project.  As the design criteria team we are providing ongoing services to the county.  The design-build team includes GRW as Architect of Record, and the joint venture construction team of Whitesell-Green and Caddell Construction.  Completion is scheduled for early 2020.
